A little about me....

30+ Years Supporting Small Business Owners

For more than 30 years, I’ve worked in the bookkeeping world — immersed in numbers, systems, business stories, growth, and sometimes the hard parts that don’t always get talked about. Over the past six years, I’ve also run my own bookkeeping business, which has given me a front-row seat to the real pressures business owners face day to day.

I’ve seen the stress, the sleepless nights, and the feeling of carrying responsibility alone. That experience shaped how I work. My focus has always been on helping business owners truly understand their business, so they can make informed decisions with confidence rather than fear.

I enjoy becoming a trusted part of a client’s team — celebrating wins, working through challenges, and providing steady support when things feel uncertain. Joining Thryvv felt like a natural step, because it allows me to do that work at a deeper level.

Today, as a Director’s Advocate, I support business owners to regain clarity and control, whether that means rebuilding with confidence or closing a chapter carefully and protecting what matters most.

 At Home

Life at home includes a wonderful partner and a rescue dog who knows they run the show. I’m happiest when I’m boarding a plane, or planning the next country music festival — one day I’ll say I’ve been to them all!

 Industry Advocacy

Never heard of a Director's Advocate?

Director's Advocate is someone who acts as a support system, advisor, or intermediary for directors in a business or organisation, assisting them to manage complex business problems.

Their role can vary depending on the context, but it typically involves helping directors navigate complex challenges, fulfil their legal or ethical responsibilities, and protect their interests. They will typically have qualifications in business management, and have significant experience in running successful businesses.

In some contexts, such as insolvency or financial distress, a Director's Advocate might focus on guiding directors through the complex insolvency process, legal risks, such as insolvent trading, and ensuring compliance with corporate regulations.
