A little about me....

Leo doesn’t just analyse businesses - he’s built them, fixed them, and lived through the stress of running one.

With a background in data analysis and business strategy, Leo started his career helping companies understand their numbers and decision-making patterns. He honed these skills as a Customer Advocate at Telstra’s Managed Business Division, where he worked closely with business owners and saw first hand the challenges they faced speaking directly with thousands of business customers.

Realising that real expertise comes from experience - not just observation - he took the leap in 2019 and became a Director himself. Over six years, he navigated the highs and lows of business ownership, learning what makes a business thrive and what sends it into trouble.

Now, as a Director’s Advocate, Leo helps business owners regain control, cut through financial chaos, and make the tough calls with clarity and confidence

 Education

With a Diploma of Business from TAFE, earning a distinction in marketing for his deep understanding of client behavior, Leo has always had a sharp eye for what makes businesses work. His ability to analyse market trends, customer needs, and operational efficiencies has helped businesses optimize their strategies and drive sustainable growth.

In 2022, he expanded his expertise with Six Sigma training, further refining his approach to process improvement, operational efficiency, and problem-solving. This training has equipped him with the tools to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and implement data-driven solutions that enhance business performance. Leo's combined experience in business analytics and continuous improvement makes him a valuable asset in helping directors navigate financial challenges and build stronger, more resilient businesses.

 At Home

Leo’s world doesn’t pause after business hours — it just shifts gears. He’s the kind of person who builds virtual democracies for fun, hosts online game communities with custom economies, and deep-dives into political systems like most people watch Netflix.

Whether he's analysing economic policy, managing in-game courtrooms, or testing out new systems of governance, Leo lives at the intersection of strategy and curiosity. You'll find him recharging in artisan cafés, talking business models over a flat white, or powering through winding mountain roads with a podcast on political theory.

That same analytical mindset and systems thinking make him a calm, creative force for business owners facing financial uncertainty — because when you understand how things are built, you know how to rebuild them.

Never heard of a Director's Advocate?

Director's Advocate is someone who acts as a support system, advisor, or intermediary for directors in a business or organisation, assisting them to manage complex business problems.

Their role can vary depending on the context, but it typically involves helping directors navigate complex challenges, fulfil their legal or ethical responsibilities, and protect their interests. They will typically have qualifications in business management, and have significant experience in running successful businesses.

In some contexts, such as insolvency or financial distress, a Director's Advocate might focus on guiding directors through the complex insolvency process, legal risks, such as insolvent trading, and ensuring compliance with corporate regulations.
